This 1993 adaptation directed by Ken Russell and produced by the BBC was based on the novel by D.H. Lawrence entitled Lady Chatterley’s Lover. When Sir Clifford Chatterley (James Wilby) husband returns home wounded after the World War I, his wife Lady Constance Chatterley (Joey Richardson) embarks on an affair with her gardener, Oliver Mellors (Sean Bean). Ken Russell appears as Sir Michael Reid and Brian Blessed is cast as Petty Officer. Whilst the production was based at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire location filming took place on the Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire.
