This popular long-running television drama series produced by London Weekend Television followed the adventures of the Blue Watch fire fighters stationed at Blackwall Fire Station in East London. However, much of the filming for the series occurred in locations in south-east London. The series broadcast between 1986 and 2002 and lead to a TV movie; in 1995 it was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award. Due to the popularity of London’s Burning a number of website’s have been created with comprehensive information about the programme.

  • Nene Valley Railway >
    In Series 3 Episode 3 The Watch are called to an incident, or shout, where a train has derailed. As a result there are a lot of casualties. In Series 10, the last to be produced by Paul Knight, The Watch are called to deal with a fire on a train in Episode 1. Both these scenes were shot on location on the Nene Valley Railway.
