Directed by Irvin Kershner and Golden Globe nominated this action adventure was a remake of the 1965 Thunderball and has Spectre agents under the command of Ernst Blofeld (Max von Sydow) infiltrating a US airbase and stealing two cruise missiles, holding NATO to ransom. Will James Bond (Sean Connery) save the day? Whilst based on the novels by Ian Fleming it is the first Bond film not to use a Fleming title. With a budget of $36 million and grossing $160 million worldwide Never Say Never Again was a box office success and also received critical acclaim. Kim Bassinger plays Domino Petachi, Klaus Maria Brandauer (Maximilian Largo) and Edward Fox ‘M’; Rowan Atkinson appears as Nigel Small-Fawcett.
