Printer friendly version >
Originally created by Dennis Spooner this ITV comedy drama has Jeff Randall (Mike Pratt) and Marty Hopkirk (Kenneth Cope) as private detectives. Marty is killed in a hit and run but subsequently returns as a ghost to help Randall solve his murder. Whilst there was only one series which ran from 1969 to 1971 there were a total of 26 episodes. Whilst a number of locations were used, the majority of filming took place at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood. Due to the popularity of the series it was remade in 2000 but did not film in the region.
