Directed by Tony Scott, Spy Game was set in 1991 and centres around the relationship with the US and Chinese Governments who are on the verge of a major trade deal. Retiring CIA agent Nathan Muir (Robert Redford) is recalled when Tom Bishop (Brad Pitt) a former recruit of his is captured by the Chinese following his attempt to free an English woman, Catherine McCormack (Elizabeth Hadley) from prison. Desperate not to destabilise the deal the CIA, and in particular Muir, must decide what to do. Spy Game shot on location in Hungary, Morocco, the US and England. There was a TV series of the same name which did not film on location in the East of England.
