Directed by Roy Ward Baker and filmed at ABPC Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, this comedy was based on a play by Bill Macllwraith with screenplay by Jimmy Sangster. Mrs Taggart (Bette Davis) is a spiteful malicious woman who insists on bringing her sons and their partners together every year to mourn the death of a husband whom she actually despised. Sheila Hancock played Karen Taggart, one of the daughters-in-law. The Anniversary had mixed reviews.
