A live-action version of the classic story by Kenneth Grahame, featuring several members of the Monty Python comedy team. Toad of Toad Hall (director Terry Jones) is a whimsical fellow who is apprehended for driving too fast in his motorcar. The next thing he knows, a gang of weasels is trying to demolish Toad Hall and turn it into a dog food factory.

Kentwell Hall became Toad Hall. The house was covered in 'snow' in the hottest August in memory, a new front porch was constructed, the Courtyard Maze lost beneath a fountain (and gravel), a terrible thunderstorm with lightening and torrential rain and an early aircraft flying ever lower time and again right over the Hall.
