Stansted Airport >
In Towers of Silence (series 5, episode 1) airport scenes feature heavily. The story focuses on the discovery of a mummified body found in the back of an aeroplane and the links to another unsolved murder. Key scenes at BAA Stansted include one where Boyd (Trevor Eve) and Grace (Sue Johnston) recreate the scene in their office. The camera switches back and forth from the airport to the office. Another features Boyd and Felix (Esther Hall) at the airport opening a large box - inside is a mummified body. In a later scene Boyd and DS Stephenson (Georgia MacKenzie) return to the airport and discover that the authorities don't always discover what is actually stolen when there is a theft, much to their disgust. They subsequently meet with Alcock (Gerard Murphy), The Collector who is the officer in charge of investigations following such instances, and Boyd is less than impressed.
